Message All runs on the same dyno at Xotic Motorsports

Run 23 taken Nov 2005
: Stillen intercoollers / stock pulley / JWT 400plus cams

Run 14 taken Nov 2005
: Ash Spec Massives / stock pulley / 2.5 inch intercooler piping

*No tuning changes / conservative 11:5:1 on race gas
*Some weather changes ****
*SAE correction to account for the weather shows RWHP gains

Run 18 taken Aug 2006
:JWT 500 cams / Fishcer pulley/ Eagle rods

* More aggressive ( 12:1 ) tune on race gas
* Loss of power / Torque no change as compared to Nov 2005 runs ~ Attributed to weather change despite SAE correction ???

Run 12 taken Aug 2006
: 60MM throttle bodies
: No tuning changes ??

* Negligible RWHP gain despite hotter conditions and more humidity
* Same tune ( A/F did adjust somewhat with throttle bodies installed between 5k and 7k rpm

I would expect gains in general from Nov 2005 from the install of JWT 500 cams and the Fischer pulley alone. The fact that we didn't see this on the dyno ( after we tested compression / checked the cams and heads ) leads us to believe that weather and heat soaking make a major difference.

I do know that when we let a few pulls cool down longer in between to measure the effects ( unscientifically ) of the heat we saw as much as a 25rwhp gain.

Also the butt dyno tells me that the car feels stronger with the JWT 500 cams and pulley .. and throttle response "seems" better with the larger throttle bodies ( but that is gut feel ).

It is entirely possible that the 50MM throttle body ( unlike the intercooler piping ) is not a source of restriction on the stock plenum and perhaps significant gains can be realized with:

* Porting the upper and lower plenum
* New intake design with larger runners so that more air can get to the heads
* Or that the gains are convoluted due to the weather changes ???

Next step :3 inch cat back exhaust.

For a more detailed analysis, I am sure Ash will post his comments and observations shortly.

In the near future, I will have all the dyno runs files on my site and they will be downloadable.
